Another fairly successful outing for my "standard" army list. I'm still a bit concerned about the overall effectiveness of the Big 'Uns (they lose rank bonus very quickly), but they generally seem to do their job well. I have atrocious luck with them when it comes to animosity, but hopefully that will pass soon. This was rather an odd battle for me, as it was decided mainly by shooting and magic rather than close combat. Panic tests ruled the day, and nobody ever even managed a flank charge. Definitely not what I'm accustomed to, and overall not really as entertaining as a well-fought melee. Perhaps I need to reconsider this magic-heavy army business. Oh, and for the record, I finally got more than six hits out of a Fanatic. It's about bloody time! |
