What is Joy Chapel?

Joy Chapel MinistriesJoy Chapel Ministries is a ministry that meets the social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the Disabled and their Staff. It also seeks to recognize and provide for the special needs of its members. It is an event that grew out of a Sunday School class for the disabled.

How Does Joy Chapel Meet These Needs?

Joy Chapel is a weekly supper and worship service.

The meal allows all that attend to socialize with their peers and volunteers

The service is geared so that all may take part.

One individual when asked what he wanted to thank God for replied, "I want to thank God for allowing Jesus to come live in my heart."

"..that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow...every tongue confess......" Phil. 2:10

Goal:

Our goal is to be a non-denominational organization for the purpose of encouraging the involvement of many churches in the surrounding area in reaching out to the disabled, their families and staff, with the good news of Jesus Christ.

All ages and disabilities welcome.

Note of Faith:

December 12, 2002 was our last Joy Chapel before Christmas and was also are Christmas banquet. Henry had booked a Handbell Choir for the evening but due to the fact that a few of the ladies had to work till 6:00 pm, Henry had them booked for the end of the service instead the beginning of the service as he has most bands. There were a 150 for the banquet and over a hundred for the service. A number of the ladies from the Handbell Choir had joined us for the banquet and for the first part of the service. It was a typical Joy Chapel, with individuals visiting with each other, wandering in and out and switching seats while Henry was doing Praise and Prayer. One of the ladies who was there for the first time looked around and commented to one of her colleagues, "There sure seems to be a lot going on at once." One of the clients who happen to be sitting right in front of them turned around and commented, "Let the Lord take care of it, don't worry," and turned around and continued visiting. This faith is not unusual at Joy Chapel anymore. Nearly all that attend regularly feel very much the same way. They have come to know the Lord as their personal friend and know that He will take care of everything. It may take awhile but in His time He will answer.
