ARE YOU READY FOR A MISSION TRIP WITH A DIFFERENCE
Tentative schedule for Romania 2006

April 3rd - 7th
Ciorogarla:
2 programs Girls aged 18 and up (Mental disabilities/abused)

April 10th - 14th
Bucharest:
2 programs for children and teens (Mental & physical disabilities, HIV and very poor children)

April 17th - 21st
Pitesti:
Children In Distress 3 programs for children and teens (Mental & physical disabilities, HIV and very poor children)

April 24th - 28th
Valea Mera:
Kindergarten Children and teens (In Pitesti) (Mental & physical disabilities)

June 19th - 23rd
Malaiesti:
2 programs Adults (Mental and Physical disabilities, possible HIV)

June 26th - 30th
Barlad:
Children in age from infant to 18. (Mental and Physical disabilities, possible HIV)

Possibility of programs:

July 3rd - 7th
Children with HIV at a hospital in Bucharest

July 10th - 14th
Children with HIV at a hospital in Bucharest

Note:
Without the children at this hospital we will have about 750 children and adults that will be seeing,
feeling and hearing about the Love Of God, Jesus for the first time in a personal way.
With their staff the number will be around 850 to 900. A wonderful opportunity to share Christ
with those most often overlooked/neglected.

Urgently Needed:
  • Physiotherapist for Barlard
  • Prenatal nurse with experience for Bucharest
  • Teachers with teaching experience for Barlard, Cernavoda, Ciorogarla
Note:
Schedule is subject to change. I have permission to tell Bible stories at all centers.


ALL APPLICANTS PLEASE NOTE:
There is a 50lb - 23 kg. luggage allowance per person per bag. You are responsible for any over weight charges
on your personal luggage. Only one piece of luggage allowed per person volunteering with SNM.

(All trips are two weeks in Romania)
Rates based on flying out of Grande Prairie.
Rates will differ slightly depending where you are flying from.

Rates are as follows:

Till end of April: $3000.00 Canadian
May: $3, 100.00 Canadian
June/July: $3, 500.00 Canadian

The final price cannot be determined till the ticket is actually booked.
These prices include airfare and all your expenses in Romania
except your personal sending money.

NOTE:
All bookings must go through the Special Needs Ministries travel agent.
If you are traveling Air Canada there is a 50 pound, 23 kilogram limit for luggage.
You are responsible for any extra weight for your personal luggage.
Special Needs Ministries policy is: only one piece of luggage and small carry on per person.

The nationals in Romania are already trying to recruit volunteers for next spring/summer.
They have asked that as many volunteers from Canada and United States come as
possible to help them with this harvest. The harvest is plentifull bu the workers are few.

Special Needs Ministries Guidelines For International Volunteers
- All volunteers must be followers of Christ, must be mature and at least 18 years of age.
- Individuals must be in good physical shape and be able to adapt to new situations and schedules quickly.
- You are responsible for passport, personal spending money, medication, and that all your immunization up to date.
- The stated amount for the trip which will include your airfare and expenses in Romania, except your personal spending money,
must all be paid to Special Needs Ministries before you board the plane.
- Leave copies of all your identification papers and emergency numbers with family or friends besides having a copy on you.
- Do not bring valuables you are not willing to lose. SNM will not be responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.
- You must have a positive attitude.
- Be willing to share your faith, if asked.
- Please limit your luggage to one suitcase and one carry on.
- Please bring wash and wear clothing. Include towel, face cloth and soap.
- Clothes for church - for ladies: dress or skirt - lengths - must be at least to the knee Also need a head covering. For men: slacks, good shirt and tie.
- No tight fitting clothes, shorts over half way above knee, no sheer blouses or shirts, no white pants, muscle shirts, or low cut shirts.
No T- shirt or pants with
questionable sayings.
- Bring clothing for all types of weather.
- Bring comfortable walking shoes/sandals.


While In Romania

- PICTURE TAKING IN FOREIGN AIRPORTS IS FORBIDDEN BY LAW.
- DO NOT EXCHANGE MONEY AT AIRPORT. There will be opportunity provided later on.
- Have daily private devotions.
- Keep a positive attitude.
- Be prepared physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
- Accept living and travel conditions as they are.
- Do not compare countries and conditions. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.
- If you like bring along snacks for yourself..(e.g) Granola bars.
- Bring all concerns to the director. Do not speak to other team members and/or to nationals about your concerns.
- Be on time for all activities/functions.
- Be ready to fully participate in all activities.
- Must be willing to adapt to sudden schedule and/or activity changes.
- Attendance at church and other functions is mandatory.
- No unapproved sight seeing or shopping trips.
- Do not flash or brag about how much money you have.
- Check with director before taking pictures.


Reminder:
We are here to serve the Lord and share His love with others. Actions speak much louder than words. If your actions, dress or attitude is not positive,
Christ honoring, all that you or the team does to share Christ will be hurt.
