The Canadian Curly Horse Association was formed in 1993 and received its "Certificate of Incorporation" on January 10,1995. It represents the Bashkir Curly Horse enthusiasts of Canada. Our membership includes breeders, owners and non-owners.

We hope to promote the Curly horse to all ages, riding abilities and activities through fun events, trail rides, shows, clinics and fellowship.

Each year CCHA hosts events to promote the Curly horse and introduce new people to these horses. One method is by having an annual horse show/clinic. Shows are an excellent opportunity for breeders to show others the value of their breeding lines. It also gives people who are interested in this breed a chance to see a number of representations of this breed in action. Some people with allergies to other horses come to test out their own personal response to these horses. For this reason and as many of the horse show participants are allergic, no "regular" or "straight-haired" horses are allowed on the show grounds.

The CCHA links potential buyers with members who have horses for sale by keeping a running list of these horse as well as a internet site which can be reached at Horses For Sale A stud book is also maintained with summer and winter pictures. You may also access this on the net atStallions
