Welcome to Home Sewing For The Traveller. I have collected many sites from the Internet that could be helpful for the home sewer who is getting themself or someone else
ready to travel. The sites are grouped by topic to make your search a little easier.
This project started with two main objectives:

The patterns and sites listed in this section were chosen with the future traveller in mind.
I looked for patterns that offered features that could be useful when travelling, whether
hidden pockets, bags, items that can do "double duty", comfortable clothes and active and
outer wear.

Other project suggestions include:
- Tote bags or any type of fabric organizers. Make-up or jewellery bags that
zip or close withhok and loop tape are good as things won't fall out and they take up very little space. This idea could be enlarged for shoe covers. Bigger tote bags with small
pockets for keys, pens, or whatever else you like to carry are also fun to make and can be easily customized.
- Travel Pillow
measurements for pillow cases are as follows:
- 3/4 yd for body of pillowcase
- 1/8 yd for contrast
- 1/4 yd for band
fold band material in half wrong sides together,(long) do the same with contrast.
lay band out flat and long, lay contrast on top with raw edges matched, stitch together
stitch band/contrast to opened body of pillowcase
sress seam toward body With right sides together
stitch side of case and bottom
turn pillow case right side out.
you may use own measurements, or use as Standard size, Queen, etc. or even Travel size
