Berga is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and was admitted as a member of the British Columbia Bar in 1995. She practiced with the firm of Mitchell Schuller & Dellow until October 2002, in their offices in Fort Nelson and Dawson Creek. Berga was an active member of the Rotary Clubs in both communities. In November 2002, Berga moved to Lethbridge to join the firm of Torry Lewis Abells LLP. Berga was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2003 and became a partner with the firm in 2008.

Since coming to Lethbridge, Berga has become an active member of A'breast of Bridge Women's Dragonboat Team and the Lethbridge Sunrise Rotary Club. Berga sits on the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. She has participated in providing information seminars to several local business groups.

Berga practices in all areas of civil litigation, and maintains an active solicitor's practice.
