Getting on with life

Derbis

We just love his disposition. He is very calm usually and just looks at you with those big brown eyes. He likes to bark at Patches because she won't play with him. He gets very excited during play time and can entertain himself quite well on his own which is nice. It's also nice that he just goes out on the deck and lays on his blanket out there. We have the deck gated off so that he can't go down on the grass without one of us out there and knows to stay on the grassy area. He really loves to fetch and is so cute when he runs with his big paws!

Sunny

The hunting prospects are great. He retrieves. He is fearless of other animals. And are you ready for the best news? He points. Not just some haphazard points, but bondfide points that you would be very proud of. He points cats, ground squirrels, robins, blue jays, and he points pigeons. We had him out to the Izaak Walton League (conservation club) for a walk. There was shooting in the distance. He was not even phazed.

He is really smart. He knows sit, down, and come ( although he is getting old enough to disobey now). Stan has installed a door bell button in his yard. If we can teach him to step on it to tell us when he wants to come in, that will be really great. We worked on that today.

Dante

Dante is growing like a weed and as of yesterday she was 18.2 lbs. She is still a little sweety and is a very quick learner. She's doing excellent with housetraining and rattles the blinds on the door when she needs to go outside. Ray is handling her in Puppy Kindergarten and say's that she's the smartest and best looking in the class. Her and Gizmo are becoming buddies as you can see from the photo.

Calli

Things are great with #7. She sure is a handful now that she is comfortable with our home. Calli is the name that we decided on.
Puppy training with Derek begins September 7th.
She is a happy little girl and we're especially happy.
