A Comment from Storm-Harvest (http://www.storm-harvest.asn.au) with regard to the recent terrorist attack on the USA
Dear List,
In horror and sadness I watched on the TV the terrible acts committed against the people of the USA. It also puts the fear of God into my own heart.
On 13 and 16 of August 2001 I released two postings on the ANZAC List concerning God’s warning of war that is coming to the USA and to Australia. An extract of my introduction to the articles is as follows:
“Over the years the Lord has been showing us here at Storm-Harvest that there will be judgment of war coming to Australia and USA. In the Bible Jesus told us:
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matt 24:6-8)
I must confess that I am uncomfortable about wars. I have two young children (6 and 9) and I do not wish to see them going through the trials of war. Yet the Lord has been persistent in reminding me. For example, some time ago there was a referendum to be held in Australia. On the evening before the referendum, Robert and I had some discussions as to how we should vote. After an hour of heated exchange, we decided to seek the Lord as to how He would want both of us vote the next morning. The Lord answered: “It does not matter how you vote” and then God instructed us to read Hosea 10:1-12. Several months ago the Lord again reminded us again to Break up your fallow ground.(Hosea 10:12), To me this means I have to deal with the sins in my own heart and to develop holiness.
I would be interested to hear from any of you hearing similar promptings from the Lord. And I would like to encourage all to intercede for the nations and our church that sinners would repent and God’s judgment be averted.
Since the terrorist attacks I have been seeking the Lord about the attacks, and about suitable reactions to prophecies that predict unpleasant events. In addition to Matt 24:6-8 quoted above, the Lord reminded me of how our Lord Jesus reacted to a similar situation when He was walking the earth:
23 Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.
24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.” (Matt 26:23-24)
When God predicts future events to us, the people who bring about these events will still bear the full consequences of their decisions and actions. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus as predicted many times in the Old Testament. The predictions did not excuse Judas from his own sin of betrayal. Jesus said “Woe to Judas who betrayed the Son of Man. It would be better for him if he had not been born”, Similarly the Lord will judge righteously those terrorists for their actions.
Just hours (Australia is one day ahead of the USA in different time-zones) before the terrorists attacked the USA, I was preparing two articles to release on the ANZAC list: “My bag of rocks”, and “We need enemies”. Both articles deal with the issue of “loving our enemies”, forgiving others, and not to allow bitterness and hatred to take root in our own hearts. I believe this is God’s Word for us at this moment:
19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rom 12:19-21)
We must focus our eyes on Jesus and follow His example of forgiving and loving those who persecuted Him and us:
34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
May the love, peace and comfort of our Lord be with us all.

A word over Indonesia and Australia Given to David Kriss (Hope of Israel Ministry)
And it shall come to pass that due to a push for democracy in Indonesia by Mrs Megawati Sukarno-Putri and the PDI, a great blood bath will result from Islamic forces and Government workers together bringing strict Islamic law across Indonesia. Many citizens will die during this process including those democratic party leaders who brought this internal struggle for freedom to the forefront.
This religious coup will usher in a radical Islamic state in Indonesia like Iran or the Taliban in Afghanistan. The West (USA, Australia etc.) will be unable to help because of God’s withholding mighty hand, and the scream of terrible human rights violations that occur during the bloody uprising will go out.
Due to the zeal of the new Islamic state order over Indonesia, and because of the great outcry from Australia over human rights, the Indonesian Military will invade Australia, firstly at Darwin, then Perth and later the Eastern states. This attack will be in utter secrecy. They will attack with great force and overwhelm the western culture. They will burn much of the infrastructure to the ground.
2. A Word for the Church - November 1998

Great tribulation is coming upon the earth and many parts of the world will be thrown into turmoil. Japan will buckle further.
3. A Word for USA - November 1998

The overarching theme for the USA comes from Isaiah 59:19 “Those in the west shall fear the name of the LORD, and those in the east, his glory; for he will come like a pent- up stream that the wind of the LORD drives on.”
I believe the time of judgment has arrived for the west, and we shall fear the name of the Lord. Those in the east will fear his glory, for He shall arise and demonstrate his great power in those nations.
There will shortly come a time when Wall Street will collapse. No longer shored up by public confidence it will swagger under the weight of national debt. On a day of frenzied trading it shall tumble the nation into turmoil and depression.
The attention of the creditor nations will be drawn to America. I saw a time of conferences and meetings, international concern and intervention by prominent international organisations in domestic economics and affairs. For the first time in US history international organisations will intervene in domestic affairs. I saw international troops on US soil. A National economic crisis, and localised crises will be announced, and utilising certain powers the US president will call the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) into action. You will see black helicopters on television and this will be a sign. When she is weakest a set of disasters will befall the nation.

Last year the Lord showed Robert Holmes a number of things on the world scene, and in the United States that would come to pass. These were both a warning of impending judgment and a call to prayer.
USA in general
“In the days of Babylon, when her walls stood wide and her leaders stood tall, her defences were strong and her campaigns victorious, Alexander the Great came to defeat her. In the same way, my Alexander will stand in the very midst of the United States of America”.
[Robert’s Note: Alexander the Great was the only military commander to actually breach the gates of Babylon. The invasion most noted by Christians is that of Gyrus and Darius the Mede. Later in history, after Babylon had declined somewhat, Alexander breached the gates and stood in the midst of the courtyard declaring himself king. He spent considerable time and effort trying to restore Babylon to it’s former glory.]

Washington State
I saw Mt Rainer and Mt St Helens together and the Lord said, “These mountains speak to the people”. [In researching them I realized they are part of the cascade Mountain range and they are both volcanoes. One of them is termed ‘silent’ and the other ‘active’ and as we know St Helen’s blew it’s top in 1980]. As we flew into the area I heard the distinct sound of explosion. [I believe one of the mountains of the cascades (Mario’s note: we believe that it will be Mt Rainer) will erupt, but not as the seismologists predict].
