The Village of Heisler and it's surrounding
communities provide many recreational activities to keep you busy.
For the athletic type Heisler has a bowling alley with four lanes and has league bowling in the fall and winter. In the summer there is baseball with two baseball fields. In the surrounding communities of Forestburg and Daysland there is curling, baseball, hockey, figure skating, and golf.
For those who like the outdoors, there is Big Knife Provincial Park 15 minutes away on the
beautiful Battle River. There is camping and fishing. Fish in the river include Northern Pike, Perch, Walleye, and Burbot.
