Mission Statement

The Centre promotes safe agricultural and environmental practices based on our concern for the welfare of individuals and the quality of the environment we share.

To this end, we develop educational materials, workshops, displays and events that will involve people in these issues both on-site and through a network of Centre partners.

Our goals are to focus public attention on agricultural and environmental safety issues and to prevent accidents, reduce injuries and save lives.

Programming and Displays

The mandate of the North American Farm and Environmental Safety Centre is to research, develop, produce and effectively disseminate a variety of informative and entertaining educational products on the issues of farm and environmental safety through an expanding provincial and international network of safety associations.

Interactive displays, hands-on experiences and issues-oriented forums and debates will augment the presentations. This will allow the tourist visitor quick insight into agricultural information, a series of comprehensive training workshops and other activities are also being developed. These and most other Centre materials will be available on-site and through a wide range of Centre extension programs.

A series of extension outreach programs and partnerships are planned that will take the safety message to groups and individuals unable to visit the Centre.
