A Boat Without Water

As a little girl my daughter had desperately wanted a boat of her own. One day her father brought home an inflatable dinghy with oars and even a little life jacket. The boat was inflated and set in the living room. My daughter, Aaron spent many happy hours sailing away around the world on her imaginary adventures in our living room. The time came for us to pack up the boat and actually take it on a camping trip with us to a near by lake. When we got to the lake the boat was re-inflated and off down to the lake hand in hand went my daughter and her Daddy. The boat was gently lowered into the lake and no sooner had it touched the water than Aaron began to sob. It seems a boat in water was not what she wanted at all. Her dad dutifully pulled the boat out of the water and settled it near the cottage. And there Aaron happily sailed away her days all that summer, in her boat with out water.
