Intro
Paul Gilbert takes the opportunity to share his photographic expertise
in a variety of ways. For more than a dozen years he has been an
instructor of photography, as well as leading photographic hiking
tours in the Rocky Mountains. He speaks regularly for camera clubs,
naturalist organizations and in the national parks, and every year
he leads photography workshops for the Jasper Institute, Waterton
Natural History Association and the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival
in Colorado.
Paul
is enthusiastic about his experiences as a teacher of photography,
enjoying the challenges of communicating with students at all
levels of ability. He defines his main objectives as helping others
to see their world from a new and fresh perspective, and enabling
them to create dynamic images through technical proficiency, visual
literacy and a heightened awareness of the qualities of light.
As
well as his regularly scheduled workshops and seminars, Paul is
available for custom events ranging from evening slide presentations
to one day seminars to week-long workshops. The following are
some possible themes for these events, but any one can be tailored
