Do I Need to Have Access to a Bike to be a Member? The requirement for a chapter membership is to have a motorcycle license or in the process of obtaining one.
How Do I Go About Getting My First Bike? If you haven't already done this, contact your local motorcycle safety school. How you choose that bike is then best up to you. Generally, it's a good idea to feel your feet touch the ground when standing still and know that it's a bike you're comfortable riding.
How Do I Join A Chapter? If you are still unsure if this is a club for you then you are invited to come to a meeting and/or event to meet the members. When you have decided you would like to join fill out the Membership application form and either mail it to the mailing address on the form or bring it to a meeting.
What do I get with my membership? You will be part of an organization that has over 1000 members in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Australia.
All members can wear WITW logo gear, including the shoulder patch sporting the lady logo. You are also encouraged to meet other Women in the Wind (WITW) members by attending: · Monthly meetings · Planned ride event · Planned winter socials · AB ladies Rally usually held the third weekend in August. · Winter Nationals are usually held around the third weekend in February · Summer Nationals are usually held around the third weekend in June. Another perk includes being part of the annual Safe Mileage Contest, both locally and nationally.
May Men Join? No, Women in the Wind has been established to promote women riding.
May Men Participate in Chapter Activities? We welcome all men to join us for our events other than 2 events held each year for members only.
