This is a real home grown book. Ryan Wispinski, my son, did most of the illustrating. I took pictures, carved and wrote quite a number of words. I then published it myself.
It includes 17 different relief carving projects of what we have called Canadian Caricatures. I have found that carvers of all levels from beginner to advanced have said that they like this book. Detailed step by step carving instructions accompany progressive photographs of the first project, Farmer John. Carving notes and suggestions are included with the other patterns. These patterns include; a cowboy, a football hero, a Mountie, hockey hero, hunter, and snow shoveler, just to name a few. The book is coil bound, 58 pages, with soft cover, and sorry, the only color photo is on the front cover.
