A
while back Joanne asked me to do a carving for a birthday present for her
husband, Jim. who is the mayor of Waskatenau. This is the small town I
that live close to. Jim and Joanne owned and ran the Bigway store and Jim,
also know as King, was the butcher as well. He sure did a fine job of making
smoked sausage and kubbie burgers. They are especially delicious when he
made them from some of our wild boar meat.
The design was adapted from a image I found on one of my CD's. It was carved in basswood, painted and antiqued with Delta Ceramcoat Acrylics. I then mounted it on a basswood slab.
