The Orchid Collection of 450 orchid Plants was donated to the Muttart Conservatory, Orchid Species Preservation Foundation (OSPF) in October of 2005.

Greenhouse:   350 Sq.Ft. stand alone glass, 70,000 BTU Olsen horizontal natural gas furnace, water, overhead misting system, 220 volt wiring.  480 watt metal halide lamp plus addition cool white lamps for extended light in winter. The greenhouse is home to 1000 orchid plants of which there are 200 species, the remainder are mainly the hybrid Cattleya and Phalenopsis type Orchids.  I build or installed all the components of the greenhouse.

Propagation: Pollinate and product orchid seed pods, for in-vitro flasking to community-pots.

Lab Equipment: Castle Autoclave (will hold 10-500 cc flasks), Clean Air  Cabinet with a Heppa filter on a gutted T.V. cabinet  includes fans and ultra-violet lamp (with safety switch).  Two section propagation cabinet, for initiation and growing.
